Ben Irving Reservoir is one of the best places in Douglas County for close-by outdoor recreation, water sports, and fun for the whole family. Ben Irving Reservoir is located 15 miles west of Winston Oregon near the community of Tenmile, and is only a 30 minute drive from Roseburg Oregon! The reservoir spans 250 acres when full and is one of the few places you can enjoy water sports like jet skiing and water skis here in Douglas County.
Ben Irving is a popular place to take the kids fishing with plenty of variety. From the popular and frequently stocked rainbow trout, largemouth bass, bluegill, yellow perch, and both black and white crappie.
There are 2 day use sites at Ben Irving. The larger site is at the boat ramp and features a large parking area for boats and trailers, and the other day use site is located a half mile away is for non-boating day use activities. The boat ramp and larger recreational site is dedicated to boating and water recreation. With a two lane boat ramp, plenty of parking, and seasonal swimming area.
Both recreation sites have restrooms, picnic areas, and grills! And as if that wasn’t enought there is even a swing set and a volleyball court! I’ve been coming here for years for birthday parties, family reunions, and get-togethers. There’s plenty of room here at Ben Irving Reservoir and things to do to keep you busy!
