Roseburg’s Hucrest neighborhood has been one of the more desirable neighborhoods in our area for generations! The Hucrest neighborhood is located on the west side of town and features homes that vary in size and affordability. Because Hucrest has long been considered one of Roseburg’s top neighborhoods, it has continued to grow with many new subdivisions and developments to accommodate the many locals who want to live on Roseburg’s west side.
The Hucrest neighborhood is centrally located close to town. Only minutes away from most of Roseburg’s amenities. Our local YMCA and Stewart Park border the Hucrest Neighborhood. Not to mention that Hucrest Elementary is one of Roseburg’s top elementary schools, and just another reason why families love the Hucrest Neighborhood so much!
The Winchester area has always been one of my favorite neighborhoods. A calm well kept neighborhood just north of Roseburg. Winchester features many quality homes, and is a neighborhood I often recommend to my clients coming from out of the area. Mostly occupied by professionals and retirees, the calm evening streets are frequently walked by your friendly neighbors.
Winchester is home to our local Costco and located just across the river from UCC, our local community college. Amacher park boat ramp and campground and The Winchester Dam are other local attractions offering more fun in the Winchester area!
The Laurelwood Neighborhood is located on Roseburg’s west side between the South Umpqua River and Roseburg Highschool. This is a neighborhood full of charming homes built between the 1920’s and 1950’s with each of them having their own unique architecture and something to appreciate.
If you like the idea of being a part of a community, Laurelwood may be a great fit for your family! The Laurelwood Neighborhood is known for its tight knit neighbors hosting their own 4th of July parades, Easter egg hunts, Christmas caroling, and other fun get-togethers. It’s very clear that Laurelwood’s residents take pride in their neighborhood! Laurelwood’s public park, mature trees, and play structure are just another bonus of this charming neighborhood!
Garden Valley Area
Garden Valley is what we consider Roseburg’s wine country. The Garden Valley area is home to many wineries, fine homes, and the Roseburg Country Club featuring an 18 hole golf course! River Forks Park is located in this area, and is where the South Umpqua River and North Umpqua River come together to make the Main Umpqua.
The Garden Valley Area is where many of our $1,000,000+ luxury homes are located, just outside the city limits on the west side of Roseburg. Garden Valley is considered a highly desirable area with wineries, fishing, parks, the country club and more, you’ll never run out of things to do in the high end Garden Valley Neighborhood!
The Melrose Area is considered a sister neighborhood of the Garden Valley Area. Melrose features many of the same benefits and amenities including wineries, and being just a short distance from the Roseburg Country Club. Homes in the Melrose Area range from median priced up to our high end luxury homes. I personally live in Melrose and would highly recommend this wonderful community!
The Melrose Area is located outside of the city limits and is home to many ranches and hobby farms. Melrose is considered a very highly desirable location of rural West Roseburg. This is partly due to the fact that Melrose Elementary is considered to be our top Elementary school in the Roseburg area. This gives us just another reason for Melrose to have such a special place in our hearts!
While this is technically our 6th neighborhood featured today, I just couldn’t leave out this charming historic neighborhood! If you’re interested in the craftsman, historic, early 1900’s homes you won’t want to pass up on the Downtown Roseburg area.
Downtown Roseburg has made a major comeback in the last few years. Downtown is home to many popular local businesses and restaurants and continues to grow. If the beautiful historic homes aren’t enough, the local food will keep you coming back for more!
