Amenities Available
Amenities that are available for the public to use include a concrete skate park, butterfly garden, golf course, and an antique steam locomotive. There’s multiple ball fields as well as bike/walking paths, a golf course, a disc-golf course, a sand volleyball court, and horseshoe pits. There are also two different playgrounds available throughout the park (one near the softball field) and one at the main park. You will also find picnic tables, pavilions and a gazebo at the main park.
Stewart Park Golf Course
For those that love golf in Roseburg, the Stewart Park Golf Course is a 9-hole municipal course that was opened in 1960, is owned by the City of Roseburg, and is operated by Umpqua Golf Management. The course is located in the heart of Stewart Park, where the natural beauty surrounding the course is unmatched. Â
The challenging par 35 course is 2950 yards long from the white tees, and the layout offers challenges for the experienced golfer, yet is enjoyable for the casual golfer. A concessionaire operates the golf shop, snack shop and driving range, and lessons are available upon request. The Stewart Park Golf Course has a slope rating of 112 and has a 34.4 USGA rating. The course also features 2 sets of tees for different skill levels.
Riverfront Disc Golf Course
For those that love disc golf, the Riverfront disc golf course is an 18-hole public course that was opened in 1993. The par 54 course has concrete pad tees Mach II targets, and is around 4621 feet long. 13 of the holes are under 300 feet, 4 of the holes are between 300-400 feet, and 1 of the holes is over 400 feet. The course poses some challenges as it is short with tight fairways, plays through oak and Douglas fir trees, requires pinpoint accuracy, and plays along the north shore of the South Umpqua River, but it is a favorite place to play for locals.
